2010
Shanghai
In 2010, the second Shanghai International Modern Teapot Art Biennale was held during the Shanghai World Expo. Curator Zhang Dawei and his team extended far-reaching invitations, drawing ceramists from more than fifty countries and regions to Shanghai.
Guided by the principles of "Openness, Art, and Friendship," artisans from across the globe crossed oceans and mountains to meet, exchanging inspiration and forging artistic bonds through the teapot. The exhibition not only built a bridge for Sino-foreign cultural exchange but also connected broader global artistic networks, adding a distinguished chapter to Shanghai's journey toward becoming a "World Design Capital."
