International Teapot Art Biennale
Founded in Shanghai in 2006, the biennale brings artists from around the world together to explore the teapot as a vessel for artistic expression and human connection.
Since 2006
Over the years, artists from more than 100 countries have explored where tradition meets innovation, function becomes sculpture, and cultural identity meets universal experience. Clay remains at the biennale's heart, alongside an expanding range of materials and approaches.
Through the humble form of the teapot, art can cross boundaries, deepen understanding, and build bridges where words alone cannot.
